brief info of character→ L is a brilliant but occasionally abrasive detective. He's arrogant, condescending, and generally kind of thinks he is WAY smarter than you, but he's also got a laundry list of frailties and neuroses that makes it easy to get on his good side. If you bake for him? You're in.
preferred method of rping → I am equally happy with prose or comment spam. I tend to write novels when I am prosing it up, though, and when threads get dropped without resolutions it tends to make me pretty sad. So, if comment spam decreases the chances of a dropped thread (ESPECIALLY in a scene that is kind of pivotal) I welcome it wholeheartedly.
do want→ Positive and negative CR! Anything short of murdering L is welcome here because variety is the spice of life.
do not wants → MURDER. Also partner, roommate, and assistant are all pretty much taken.
does your character have a job?→ YES. He works for the Watch. Since Yuri Petrov left, I've had him covering extra shifts to make up for it, and he's pretty wiped out.
are they a meister/weapon?→ L is a pretty kickass Weapon, a pair of handcuffs that turns into a bear trap on a chain with excellent resonance. Good luck getting that with him, though; so far he's only been able to resonate with a handful of people at all, and exceptionally well with just one person. Anyone not in this number is likely to feel pretty mangled after trying.
what is their meister ability/weapon form?→ Handcuffs/bear trap
are they looking for a partner?→ L is bullying Light into being his partner. Again.
what are they looking for in a partner?→ Kira
what are they doing right now?→ Running himself into the ground doing the work of 10 men at the Watch HQ. He's preparing to go to Israel with Light to fight zombies, and also to move into their swanky new condo. Life is hectic, but good, as long as you ignore the fact that he is only awake because of stimulant abuse. And also the fact that he has a new doppelganger/stalker in the city who might or might not hold a hell of a grudge.

Sooooo... Yami Bakura has been pretty busy making nice with L's doppelganger (without telling B who he is lol) and had a really spectacular fallout with L's caretaker recently (which removed Bakura's psycho-protection from YB's part) on the same day recently.

Think we should plot? :)

L is getting along fine with Ryou Bakura, aside from the fact that the guy is worried sick about him (as per usual.) And yes, I was stalking your thread with Beyond so hard. XD

It sounds like L and L's own are in danger/without protection, and they have more than a few people pissed off at them!

Yep. YB's currently putting his project against L at hold since it's linked to L's interaction with his host, but Light (and maybe others too) will still be in danger once the LARP plot and co. start moving again. :) He's also going to be even more psychotic and ready to lash out than usual without having Ryou as a vent, so L could notice that too?

Putting that SPECIAL project aside for the moment might be a good idea, since L could use a bit of time to pull himself back together after B's debut! However, I love the idea of him getting to notice Bakura's psychoticism. Honestly I just love it when people allow me to let L notice these types of things. I am up for a log, or I am more than willing to jump on Bakura's next network post!

I'm good for both!^^ I'm still trying to figure out how to play this (I want to do both a post and a log, I just need to figure out dates |D). i want YB to be still pretty much what you can call 'normal' for him in the post, but have clear signs of it showing through later on in the log. :) Does L know Yako?

L does in fact know Yako! She has baked for him, she's acquainted with Mello and Near, and she's dating Takuto (and L knows all of this ICly.) That being said, I don't think that she's intimately familiar with his canon stuff, and she'd likely not be the BEST source of information on L and his ilk, lol.

Good, then he can get info on te current state of the Bakurae from her if he wants to.^^ Bathead here hasn't thought of doing ut the other way round yet, especially now since he has no more reason to care about what L does and doesn't do.

That sounds perfect! L knows that Yako has partnered with YB, I'm sure (if it's something he could check records-wise, there'sno reason he shouldn't.) It can probably also come up organically if L talks to Yako at some point soon. Especially if something weird in YB's post pings him in a wrong way (or even if there is an open log encounter, which would likely ping him even moreso.)

I think Shibusen should have some records from those missions considering that you also have to sign ICly up for them. :) Only a little bit of the post is going to be public but if they get talking something can still always come up for L to catch seeming wrong about it!

I saw the post go up and was sure to tag it. I will try to exercise excellent judgment in having L latch onto anything that may come up!

Would it bother them that Fon wouldn't be unnerved at all about it? He already knows that there is a B-look-alinke in town (though he's not yet seen L) and he has his own look-alike, too.

Ahahaha it's Ok, L is getting far too used to doppelgangers (Bakura is his best whipping boy friend, after all!)

L works with the Watch and lives in the condos and frequents Death By Pastry. He's being a lot more cautious lately knowing that B is around, but do any of those locations sound like good starting points?

Close by or at Death By Pastry sounds like a good place to start at. (And it's not like L'll lot's of l's there ooh ahem *couch* stop going to the place just because B's there, I'm guessing)

He is certainly attempting to keep some semblance of normalcy in his life now that he has his serial killer lookalike in the city, for sure. Even if he's not out at often and he's using his mirror to peer around corners, he is definitely still out and about.
