Really? What didn't you like about druids? And warlocks are always nerfed, silly, they're not mages :p

well, i didn't like the direction cataclysm took druid healing (i made my druid specifically because i wanted to be a tree, and now a glyph available just isn't the same!) so i focused on my tanking... then they supremely nerfed bears shortly thereafter. not enough to discourage me from continuing to tank heroics and raids all through cata, but it still hurt! and now in MoP, a lot of the talent choices are gutting mobility (having to choose between a speed increase all ferals got to take, and our charge, for example.) i was more optimistic about tanking despite that when i saw there was that mass-death grip talent for druids, but then that got nerfed too. i've just had horrible nightmares about pulls as a bear druid sometimes, and it's all because we're the only tank class that doesn't have a decent ranged silence/pull without having to use up a glyph slot for it.

of course most of this will really only be relevant in 5-mans but it's still... really painful... those first few months. AND I'M SORRY YOU PROBABLY DIDN'T NEED ALL THAT but i have been a bear druid for so long and i have my opinions over it

also if that comment is meant to imply you're a mage supporter, i might have to rescind my friend request. >:(

Interesting... my druid's a tank. I might have to start following MoP changes a lot more closely. It's totally fine, I like hearing some info/opinions since I've been behind on the MMO front.

Hahaha, no, I play a mage and even I feel ashamed for all the buffs they keep getting. I feel dirty one-shotting things.

i mean, it probably won't be horrible. and to be honest, a lot of tanks are going to be in a bad spot for the first few weeks because active mitigation is something to get used to... it'll be really crushingly bad if you're bad at it, and really really powerful if you catch on quickly. and druid tank DPS is actually the strongest among the tanks right now in the beta (like it was in cataclysm before the nerf), but it's those cruel choices between talents and a lack of compelling glyph options that kind of sour it.

(i'm also kind of saying this still feeling that MoP heroics will be as hard as cata heroics were at launch which, if the beta is any indication, they won't. so that's another plus. i wouldn't say it's safe to pug everything and get a good group but it won't be a necessity to stick with guild runs like it used to be.)

and ahahaha mages... oh well, i only ever have an issue with them when i run up against one in pvp. otherwise, i've enjoyed being somewhat close to them (and depending on the fight, above them) in pve! frickin frost mages, though. you may crit and kite us into oblivion BUT YOU'LL NEVER TAKE OUR STYLE... weeps into hot topic armwarmers

Haha, my boyfriend plays a warrior and he's been drooling over the changes. I might just switch to kitty DPS if I have to make odd choices like that. I'm more comfortable clawing monster hiney than I am leading a group. I'm a terrible leader when it comes to rather technical games.

And I tried frost mage. I kinda liked it? I'm loving arcane a hell of a lot more though! I want to play a fire mage, but I haven't heard much other than 'fire spells eat mana like it's going out of style', but that was back in lich king so WHO KNOWS!?

oh yeah, the warrior changes look great! i hear it's more great for prot and arms than fury, though. but i wouldn't know, i'm not much of a plate dps person. :( rogue, warlock, and druid are my mains, although i had a priest, shaman, and paladin at cap too (hello everyone, i'm doc and i'm a recovering altaholic...)

and i'd say that fire mages are better on mana now than they've been in the past! still really reliant on luck, though. all those abilities that rely on crits, it can be awful when you go a long string of hits without procs. but in general, fire and arcane have been pretty close in pve for the past year! which is something the other pure dps classes can envy, haha. but yeah, when i played a mage for a little while, arcane was always my favourite. the changes in MoP look like they're really going to shake things up, too (like their rotation, which... needed it...)

Recovery? What recovery? I play All The Classes. ...Except my rogue is low level and I haven't really given Priest the old college try yet, but everything else is at 85.

Also, the boyfriend rolls prot, so yeah he's mega excited. Damn good tank too. I'd just like to see him play again.

Yeah? Maybe I should try my mage as fire and play around with it a little, see how it works, but I'm reeeally liking arcane, so the playing around won't be for long I'm betting.

Awww and I was just getting comfy with my rotation. Oh well.
