TEST DRIVE MEME JULY 2012
Test Drive Meme
[App Form] [Reserves Page]
This meme is here to let prospective characters mingle ICly with the characters already in the game and each other. It helps us introduce various scenarios that you're likely to encounter in Soul Campaign and the different places used in the game. Hopefully, this helps you figure out if the game is really suited to your needs or not -- otherwise, just have fun!
The scenarios for this cycle are:
1. The BREW summons you into the Kishin Chamber during a power outage, along with a bunch of other strangers.
2. You're trapped in a blizzard during a mission to Greenland, and must now huddle with your partner for warmth. Your partner may or may not be someone you know.
3. You've intercepted an important piece of intel about the way to enter the witches' realm. It's kind of really embarrassing, however. Maybe you should try it out first to see if it's true?
4. Shortages are not uncommon during wars, and this time around the entire city has run out of coffee/tea/[insert character's favorite substance]. What lengths will you go to to get your fix?
5. There's a perfect mission for you on the mission bulletin board! The problem is, you're required to crossdress as your opposite gender.
Just choose any one randomly, or make up your own, we don't mind! To make things simpler, please follow this subject line:
[CHARACTER NAME | CANON or FANDOM CHARACTER IS FROM | MEISTER OR WEAPON | SCENARIO# (or indicate if it's a new scenario)]
For example: [SPIRIT ALBARN | SOUL EATER | WEAPON | #1]
For OOC discussions and generally just chatting around, please head over here.
Here's the Soul Campaign Navigation Page for all the other information you need.
As an extra note, you may add your TD threads to your application although it is not a requirement to do so and will not count towards activity checks. Please place it under the Notes section if you do.

When we go home from here...time resumes from the point we left it, right?
[That was how he'd understood it. For him that was fine, but it wasn't a pleasant thought for him when it came to Hughes.]
no subject
[He raises an eyebrow, silently asking Mustang for an explanation.]
no subject
If that's true.. then I don't want him to go home. If he goes home... he'll die.
[Dark eyes lift from staring at his coffee to look at Six again.]
Back home, during my time...Hughes has been dead going on three years now.
no subject
...I see.
[It explains a lot though: why a family man wouldn't want to return home.]
[After taking a moment to consider this, he lifted the mug to his lips again.]

The pensive look has returned as he considers how he might end up feeling at the end of the fighting here. Would he choose to stay with Hughes or go back to living without him and continue where he left off back home with Ishval? As much as he might like to think he could avoid being selfish and return to finish what he started, would he really want to leave Hughes behind again after living with him alive again for however long this war took?]

Thanks. [For both things, though he doesn't really blame the man for the mood killing. He'll have to deal with the issue eventually, but for now he can possibly put it away to be dealt with later. For now let's try changing the topic.]
You said earlier you weren't sure if I was a Weapon or a Meister... from what I've been told, I'm apparently a Meister. What are you, if you don't my asking?

What do you usually work with?
no subject
Traditional weaponry, largely swords.
[Old school. Very old school.]
no subject
Ah. I've used a sword before, but mostly I'm more familiar with guns and alchemy.
[Though he's largely limited to guns and what abilities this world has given him, since he couldn't actually use his alchemy here.]
no subject
[Pardon the skeptical eyebrow.]
no subject
Yes. It's rather common for the most part where I'm from, though while anyone could study it, you need an aptitude for it to actually use it. Most alchemists can use it to create simple things ranging from making small figurines, toys, repairing things, some can even use it for healing. While I could do that, my specialty was more combat based for the most part. I could produce fire...provided it wasn't raining.
[He paused and considered continuing but decided he'd make sure he hadn't lost the man or rather to make certain that the man actually wanted to hear more about it.]
I can explain how it works to a degree if you want. It's largely science based despite it's looks...though a number of people back home seem to think it magic due to everything it's capable of.
