Wow, sounds like Courtney has had a rough past, too. Lily wasn't that close to either of her parents either. Her father was a male witch and walked out on the family when she was still a baby. Her mother seemed to be a normal woman and was scared of her and sent her to live with her adoptive grandmother Graciela when she was 8. Graciela was the one who trained both Lily and her father in magic.

Unfortunately, she's not that sociable right now due to being paranoid about the war. Some more clues will probably come out about her being a witch during the event though!

Yikes, that is a rough back story. Courtney's parents have always been present in her life, but they don't really love her. So, despite all the problems that have arisen as a result, she's really happy to have met her uncle.

Courtney doesn't exactly trust other witches, but when she becomes curious about something, she can become a little reckless. She really wants to know what the witches of other worlds are like, particularly the ones Shibusen is fighting against.

Yeah, it's actually even worse since the townspeople shunned her as a child and then tried to exorcise her with poisonous snakes when she was a teenager. o_O; She had to leave town after that and went looking for her father against Graciela's advice. It's never explained fully what happened when she finally caught up with him but she regretted it and it's heavily implied that he had chosen evil. So, she has trust issues and spent years running whenever things looked dangerous.

She was getting better at making friends after moving to San Francisco but I figured she'd revert to a more paranoid state with the war here. I was figuring some things would slip during the event since she is protective of normal people when it comes to supernatural stuff but haven't had any takers yet in trying to plan a thread then.
