This meme is here to let prospective characters mingle ICly with the characters already in the game and each other. It helps us introduce various scenarios that you're likely to encounter in Soul Campaign and the different places used in the game. Hopefully, this helps you figure out if the game is really suited to your needs or not -- otherwise, just have fun!

The scenarios for this cycle are:
1. Shibusen has run out of free residential units! You are now stuck in one of their dorms with three other people. There's no privacy at all!
2. You find yourself trapped in the Holocaust mall during a blizzard. It's not as nice as you might think when there's a kishin egg or two prowling about.
3. There's a disease spreading that gives any meister or weapon who doesn't have a partner boils on their faces. You have exactly three hours before it reaches you -- time to make use of partner activities to get one. Please indicate if you're a meister or a weapon on your subject header.
4. It's mission time! You're suddenly thrown into a mission with a stranger (or several strangers). Do you flee or fight? (Current mission board is here.)
5. Your character was brought into Shibusen with a big problem. It seems that the BREW thought it would be funny if guys were girls and girls were guys. You have to race up the Shibusen steps to get the antidote, but you have to drink it with one or more people. Apparently, BREW likes company?

Just choose any one randomly, or make up your own, we don't mind! To make things simpler, please follow this subject line:

[ Mithos nodded his head as he understood. It was a little disappointing though, since he will have to wait until the blizzard subsides before going and getting himself settled in this new place. Not to mention this place seems to have something lurking in the shadows. He shook that from his mind as he notices Kratos still holding several bags of groceries ]

We should find a place to sit. It doesn't look like this blizzard will be letting up soon.

[flamberge]

[Kratos nodded. After a quick glance around, an empty bench caught his eye and he started over to it. Standing around with a handful of bags wasn't particularly fun.

Not to mention, setting these down would be a good idea. The fact that the other residences of Death City were not the only beings present inside the store hadn't escaped his notice, either, and fighting while carrying groceries wouldn't turn out too well.]

[ Mithos followed after his mentor as he started to head towards the bench. He was hoping that neither of them were going to catch the attention of anything that was lurking. While it looked like Kratos had a way to defend against them, Mithos was basically defenseless. He didn't have his magic, and without a meister, he couldn't do much as a "weapon". It didn't help that he wasn't even sure what he was. He was just told he was a weapon. Maybe he should have asked for more detail.

It bothered him a little, but Mithos kept it to himself as they proceeded to the bench. ]

[flamberge]

[While they weren't yet aggressive, the likelihood of being attacked reminded high. While Mithos was untrained in the fighting style of Death City, he possessed enough skill to do well in combat regardless. It made Kratos all the more grateful of his weapon form being that of a sword. Mithos could easily wield him, though lacking the resonance that occurred between Meister and Weapon. Still better than the alternative of being weaponless.

Once at the bench, Kratos set the groceries down on it.]

You can sense them as well, can't you?

[ Mithos stopped in front of the bench as they finished walking, taking a pause before nodding his head.]

Yeah. They've been lurking for a while.

[ They're going to have to continue to remain cautious, in case they turn aggressive. Mithos could only find relief in the fact that he found his mentor of all people here ]

[flamberge]

[Kratos nodded before looking around. No sight of any of them as of yet.]

It is unlikely that they will remain unaggressive for much longer. [He glanced back at Mithos.] I shall transform into my weapon form so you might wield me once their attack begins.

[Better if Mithos have a weapon prior to any actual attack. To be caught off guard in such a situation would be dangerous. There were already numerous disadvantages and another did not need to be added to that list.]

[ Mithos was unaware that he could use Kratos as a weapon. This wasn't the time for questions, so he simply nodded his head in agreement. He guessed that Kratos must be a sword, as it's the only weapon Mithos has been taught to wield. ]

Alright. If anything attacks, I'll do my best.

[ He doesn't want to let his mentor down, after all ]

[flamberge]

[Kratos had nothing but the utmost confidence in Mithos' abilities. No matter what occurred, they would manage somehow.

That in mind, he shut his eyes for a moment and transformed. In the blink of an eye, what appeared to be the Flamberge was in front of Mithos.]

[willnotdespair]

[ So that's how it is to transform. Mithos kept that in mind, as he watches his mentor transform into the Flamberge in front of him.

Mithos then took the handle of the Flamberge into his left hand. It felt kind of surreal to be holding his mentor as a weapon like this, but it was something he was going to have to allow people to do himself.

Thinking this to himself, why couldn't he have been a meister? He could then had the chance to have Kratos as a weapon, and everything would have been easier. But now wasn't the time to think of things. At any moment now, the things that have been lurking could strike, and Mithos had to stay on his guard. ]

[flamberge]

[Being handled by someone still felt strange. He was used to wielding an actual weapon and not being said weapon.

Ah that reminded him. If a resonance didn't work out then the Meister would be unable to use the Weapon properly. Despite Mithos not being a Meister, something of the sort could always be possible a Weapon using a Weapon. Even if it wasn't, better to make certain just in case.]

I am not heavy or anything of the sort, am I?

[ Mithos heard Kratos' question and looked down at the blade in his hand. Mithos used a much thinner blade back home, so a blade that Kratos has transformed into was different than what he was used to. He didn't seem heavy, but Mithos decided to make a few quick swings, to make sure he could swing him efficiently. ]

You're a bigger blade than I'm used to, but it doesn't seem to have any effect on my swinging.

[flamberge]

[Being swung by your own student. Somehow that thought made this feel nicer than all the previous times he'd been used. Not to mention, even with a blade not similar to the usual ones he used, Mithos' form still remained good.]

Good.

[Right when that word left him, a movement in the shadows to the left caught his attention. It seemed as though they've finally decided to come out and play rather than continue lurking.]

Mithos.

[willnotdespair]

[ Mithos held a soft smile when Kratos replied. He was able to wield his master. Now if only...

The thought was interrupted by the movement in the shadows, followed by Kratos voice. Mithos glanced over to the left. ]

Yeah. I saw it.

[ He shifted his position to a more defensive stance. He kept still, watching for any movement. ]

[flamberge]

[Kratos too kept his full attention focused on the shadows. Just because he wouldn't be the one fighting didn't mean he could allow himself to let his guard down.

A few moments passed before the creature finally made its move. Springing out of the shadows, the kishin egg darted towards them.]

[ Having listened intently and keeping an eye on his surroundings, Mithos was prepared when the kishin egg darted out of hiding. Quickly, Mithos turned in the direction of the kishin egg, as he switched out of his defensive position to a more offensive. The half-elf then waited until the kishin egg came close enough, before swinging his transformed mentor. ]
