This meme is here to let prospective characters mingle ICly with the characters already in the game and each other. It helps us introduce various scenarios that you're likely to encounter in Soul Campaign and the different places used in the game. Hopefully, this helps you figure out if the game is really suited to your needs or not -- otherwise, just have fun!

The scenarios for this cycle are:
1. Shibusen has run out of free residential units! You are now stuck in one of their dorms with three other people. There's no privacy at all!
2. You find yourself trapped in the Holocaust mall during a blizzard. It's not as nice as you might think when there's a kishin egg or two prowling about.
3. There's a disease spreading that gives any meister or weapon who doesn't have a partner boils on their faces. You have exactly three hours before it reaches you -- time to make use of partner activities to get one. Please indicate if you're a meister or a weapon on your subject header.
4. It's mission time! You're suddenly thrown into a mission with a stranger (or several strangers). Do you flee or fight? (Current mission board is here.)
5. Your character was brought into Shibusen with a big problem. It seems that the BREW thought it would be funny if guys were girls and girls were guys. You have to race up the Shibusen steps to get the antidote, but you have to drink it with one or more people. Apparently, BREW likes company?

Just choose any one randomly, or make up your own, we don't mind! To make things simpler, please follow this subject line:

Ah? Another Japanese, at least. Thank goodness. You understand my language?

Yes. [She nodded, taking in the other woman's clothing--they at least suggested a similar time period... even if her own did not.]

I assume you've been assigned here as well?

[megitsune]

[Megumi nods and places her medicine box and her round clothing basket down, then gathers her hands to her lap for a bit of a bow]

Takani Megumi. I suppose I'll be depending on you, if you've been here a while.

It is good to meet you, Takani-san. My name is Tomoe.

[And it was a strategic move to forgo her surname. It just wasn't worth the headache if it came up later.]

I'm afraid I won't be the best help in most things, but I will certainly offer what I can.

[megitsune]

Good. There is a lot I wish to know. And in return, if you require any medical services, I'd be happy to assist you, Tomoe-san.

[willing_sheath]

Medical services? [A pause, but only a brief one.] Are you a doctor of some kind, Takani-san?

[She leans down to set her book on the couch before approaching her to offer help with her things.]

I certainly am. I'll give you free checkups if you explain this nonsensical place to me, too. To make it worth your time.

Also, if you need things it's too embarrassing to ask a male doctor for.... I'm available.

[She gives her a nod, muttering a 'let me help you' as she reaches for a bag.]

What have you already been told?

[She ticks them off on her long fingers]

That they expect us to fight for them in a war about imaginary things. That I am to be used as a weapon of some sort. That some strange person is supposed to wield me-- oh, I don't think so-- and that I can't go home until this war is over.

Of all of the absurd things. I have a mind to march right up to whoever is in charge and demand they rectify the situation.

[FUME FUME]

[Her hand moves unconsciously to hold her left forearm at the statement of 'imaginary things'--but otherwise nods.]

It is all accurate, I'm afraid. They do not force us to fight--but many do for the simple fact that it is the only assured way to return home.

As of yet I have not chosen to participate myself--but I saw enough war in my own world and do not care to be used but... even so I have seen a 'kishin egg' if not a witch [her hand tightens on her arm]... and they are very real.

[megitsune]

[Megumi looks at Tomoe's clothing again.]

I am supposing you are from the future Japan. I don't know of this kind of clothing having existed before my own Meiji. And if that's so, I'm sorry to hear it. We don't need any more wars in our land.

[She sighs through her nose.]

[willing_sheath]

[She shakes her head.]

I am actually from Genji 1... I simply was forced into western clothing because those I arrived in were ruined beyond repair some time ago.

[She lets out a small puff of air.]

BREW certainly seems taken with those from Meiji... [And she would wager that the doctor was involved with Kenshin as well--in fact... now that she thought about it she seemed to recall Kaoru mentioning a Megumi several times.]

[She would have to be extra careful with her surname, wouldn't she?]
