Where Are They Now? (5 Year Edition)
This meme was done before in this game, right here, and that is where I am stealing it from. But instead of giving characters the option to return home in this hypothetical scenario, the war is still going on five years from the current date in-game, and BREW still needs everyone.
The question is, what has happened in those five years? The children have become adults, the adults are just a little older without being old, and goodness knows a lot can change in that amount of time. Maybe you're thriving, in your business or your partnership. Maybe not. Either way, with no end in sight, life goes on in the city named after Death.
INSTRUCTIONS
-Post with your characters(s)
-Write a short blurb about what has happened in five years. Love, heartbreak, sickness, wealth, what was in the cards for your Weapon or Meister, and what has it shaped them into? Set a scene for the present.
-Tag others in the scene they kindly set.
-Profit$$$$$$$$

C.A. Cupid ♥ Monster High
Much like the irony that was her canon love life, Cupid can't seem to keep a Meister to save her life- mostly because she decides they're a better fit for someone else a little ways into the partnership. She's always right. And trying to find out anything conclusive about her love life is a Herculean Labor in and of itself, so unless she trusts someone to know about it, she's probably not talking.
Also, Gods help you if you come up against her during morning training. Cupid trains like she does everything- more or less like it's for keeps. She's a total sweetheart after though, and is likely to spend the rest of training apologizing to whoever spars with her.
Generally though, she can be found working out of her apartment or running back and forth between Shibusen and the other branches in a whirl of now-long pink hair and precise, professional cell-phone conversation punctuated by the staccato click of her heels. Every once in a while though, she does pop out to visit her friends when she knows they'll be free. Every once in a while, if someone's lucky or knows where to look, she can even be found lounging inside a small, hole-in-the-wall cafe and enjoying a cup of tea and a cupcake or two.]
he may be older, but most of his ideas are just as dumb
He slides into the seat across from her and smiles in that way she's probably very familiar with. Although his love life has lately been sailing on smooth (albeit strange) waters, he has a question.]
Um, you can just answer this yes or no, but it'd be really unwise to propose to two people at the same time, right?
...Takuto
Mostly though, she wishes Takuto would stop trying to have his cake and eat it too.]
Polygamy is still illegal in most places, Takuto.
[A sharp, pointed bite of her cupcake.]
Not to mention it probably wouldn't go over well, no. Say what you want about how it's going for you, but there will always be problems in a relationship with more than one person. Human beings are too selfish to properly share affection like that.
[She pauses a moment, and then adds-]
And despite whatever reassurances or lofty ideals, so are divine ones. Trust me, I know.

I said a simple yes or no would do. [He's not really pouting, more like just pretending he is. There's a smile hiding under his put-upon expression.]

Does it really matter how I answer? In about three days you'll decide that my advice, while sane and reasonable, really holds no bearing on what you consider is right for you and you'll go ahead and do it anyway.
[She sets her chin on her hand, leaning her elbow on the table, and blows some of her hair out of her eyes.]
Maybe one day you'll listen, but it probably won't be until it's way too late.
no subject
I've taken your advice before. [Once. Maybe twice. Three times if you squint.]
no subject
Oh yes, you have- after several bouts of attempting to 'fix' the situation yourself. [Another, shorter sip of her tea.] Please. Don't insult me, sweetie.
