The Trapped in a Box Meme

You're stuck a box. It's not a particularly spacious one, nor are you too certain as to how you got there. All you know that the box is small, a little dark and cramped, and at least someone else is stuck in there with you.

Oh. And did I mention that the box is virtually indestructible? No? Well, now I did.

[Naoto's not having any luck kicking a hole in this box, but it feels like there's a dent. Whether it's the box or her shoe, she doesn't know for certain.]

[Rise's more kicking for noise than anything else, but even that's getting tiresome for how cramped it is in there]

Ugh. They'd better not think this'll make us less likely to hurt them when we get out.

It does not require that much energy to raise a gun and pull the trigger.

At least they didn't take that, too.

[She's not sure what she has to hit them with but she's sure she'll think of something]

Well, it isn't loaded with real bullets...

But it is loaded?

Yes, with rubber bullets.

[She draws her gun] They should rip through this material.

[Yeah, she'll be backing up a little now]

Are you sure that's safe?

It should be.

[She raises a hand and pats around, seeing where precisely Rise is so she doesn't accidentally aim her way.]

[Rise has decided that the best place for her to be is as close to and as behind Naoto as she can get. Trying to stay out of Naoto's way but otherwise almost on top of Naoto.]

Well, if you're sure...

[Naoto nodded and placed her gun against the wall, point blank before pulling the trigger.]

[The shot sees Rise bury her face more into Naoto's side, a slight startled squeak that she can't quite hold back largely drowned out by the sound of the gun firing]

[Naoto glances back at Rise, but then looks towards her gun. Removing it, it does seem to have created a hole.]

It's through.

Really?

[She looks up, though she's not backing away yet]

Guess they weren't planning on you doing that, huh?

Probably assumed we wouldn't get desperate.

[She places her gun against the wall again.]

I can't say I blame them.

[Her ears are already ringing and she knows it's going to get worse. So she'll just keep hiding behind Naoto while she blasts them out of there]

[She's about to shoot, but she looks back]

Rise-san, you may want to try covering your ears instead.

...Good point.

[But she can totally do both at the same time, which is the option she'll go for]

[Once Rise has her ears covered, Naoto begins to fire.]

[Rise remains curled up close with her hands clamped over her ears, even if that doesn't help as much as she'd like it to.]

[The gun clicks, its chambers empty. There's enough holes though to weaken the wall so Naoto kicks until it breaks open.]

[Rise finally looks up at the lack of shots, though she's not at much of an angle now where she can really help without kicking Naoto instead]

Good thinking, Naoto-kun.

[She slips out once the hole is big enough.]

[Naoto holds out a hand to Rise.]

[Rise follows Naoto out, catching hold of her hand as she tries to remember how standing works without her limbs giving out on her. Not that she's going to let on that she's anything but ready to press on.]

Right. Next stop, find your kunai.

[She fixes her jacket and readjusts her hat.]

And teaching the fool who decided to do this a lesson.
