RULES

♥ For all truths, they will find that they can't lie.
♥ For all dares, they must complete it or otherwise, they must face a terrible consequence. This song will be stuck in their head. Over and over. Forever.

Or at least until they complete their next dare.

[ Oh well that is easy enough! And something Anders rather enjoys talking about. ]

Let's see...there's this place called the Fade. It's where everyone goes when they dream - though the Fade in this world seems....different somehow - but only mages can remain conscious within it. It's this connection that gives us our abilities, as magic is channeled energy from the Fade. This link is something we are born with - it can't be learned and it can't be unlearned, which is somewhat problematic when the connection solidifies in early adolescence and we start burning down barns whenever we feel angry. [ He's smirking, but there's a hint of something harder, resentment or pain or just general uncomfortable feelings. ]

There's a great deal more to it than that, but I think I've covered the basics - Fade connection, teenage emotions, and bam; sparklefingers. [ Anders wiggles his fingers dramatically in demonstration. ]

Ah. That's... actually really interesting! [And she means it, too! She appears genuinely interested. c:] I've heard of somewhat similar things, in other dimensions. And, unfortunately, none of it really applies here, huh?

[ A wan smile; a smile for her interest and wan because of the truth in her latter point. ] Well, as I'm not yet Tranquil and still visit some manner of the Fade when I dream, I would say that there is yet some relevance-- but no, I'm afraid I'm sorely lacking in magic at the moment.

However, I believe it is your turn to choose.

It's sort of like... seeing it through a glass wall, I think. You can almost touch it, but not quite. Just close enough that you don't forget it exists as a part of you.

I suppose after such a dull question, I imagine I owe you a dare, huh? So shoot.

Going to assume she's in the magician outfit?? Let me know if that doesn't work

And it is the knowledge of its absence that makes it so painful to bear. [ A little melancholic, but Anders snaps out of it quickly enough and returns to the matter at hand, which is thinking of some suitable dare. ]

I wouldn't call it a dull question, but I think I can make do with a dare. [ That little smirk is back. ] Hmm, let's see... I dare you to let me borrow your hat for a day. [ It is a very fun hat ok. ]

She loves her costume, okay! c:

[Oh, man. She knows how that goes. Secretly, she is pleased that he changes the subject. It means that she doesn't have to dwell on it very long or show how much she understands, intentional or otherwise.]

My hat? [She is slightly relieved, but clears her throat in hopes of hiding that.] Sure? Just be careful -- there's a subspace in it. [She reaches atop her head to pull it off (fluff her hair nonchalantly) then hand the hat to him.]

It is a fabulous costume :3
