Hmm… No idea what would be a good thread for these two... Lily’s a witch who runs a vintage clothes shop but ends up investigating murders and exorcising demons on the side in canon. Lately, she’s been working on opening a vintage clothes shop in Death City. Also works at the park as the gardener. Tries to hide that she was a witch in her world. Rarely appears on the network since she’s kind of technophobic and prefers talking to people in person. I had an open log for her a couple of weeks ago when she was moving, which I’m still backtagging. And I'm planning a party for when she opens the shop but that's probably not Winters' thing...

Oh this will be a tough one, but who doesn't like a challenge? Winters is a serial murderer from his world, was on death row for a bit, and then was enlisted to basically fight in a war with the weapon he had in exchange for being released. He likes to fight a lot, but honestly I wouldn't mind putting him in a setting beyond his usual comfort zone to change it up.

He could be anywhere in person, so running into her in the park is something or at her shop.

Yeah, this is a tough one! Lily doesn’t really work for sparring since she fought with magic in canon and even then, she wasn’t good with fighting magic. It was more brewing, chanting, drawing magic circles and focusing powers to cast demons out. When she was a teenager, she ended up in jail for a few weeks. The people in her hometown tried to blame three snakebite deaths on her after they tied her up and set poisonous snakes on her but at worst, that was her magic being out of control rather than her actually trying to kill anyone. Her grandmother managed to get the charges dropped with magic but Lily was forced to leave town after that. But it’s not exactly something she would admit easily, especially in Death City!

It wouldn’t be too hard for them to run into each other somewhere but the bigger question is where it should go from there. I could kind of see her mistaking Winters for a demon or something of the sort from his appearance.

I think this is one of those times where we need to see where it goes from there. I could see her mistaking him for a demon. He would find that really amusing. he likes killing a lot, but he can start asking questions.

That's probably true. So, I guess they could just run into each other in the park to start. Any preferences on who starts the log? Action or prose? (I'm fine with either.) And I haven't got any planned threads with solid dates at the moment so current day change or next should work for me.

The series she's from is fun! I don't think anyone knows it though since it's American mystery novels.

I am fine with either of those styles. I'm used to prose over the action tags, but I switch for anybody's comfort zones. I don't really have a preference for who starts the log though it might be easier if you set the scene. It can occur whenever is convenient :]

I'll have to take a look at them sometime.

Prose works for me! (I sometimes find myself getting mixed up on tenses when I do action!) And I'll try to get a log up tomorrow night. Morning of the current day change (15th) would work, I think.

Other than witchcraft, the series is also themed around vintage clothes. Probably not everyone's thing but I have links to excerpts on the profile of my journal.

That sounds like an interesting mix of things. I'll take a look at those excerpts when I get the chance to.
