Oh Edgeworth, let me try to organize all my feels into something coherent.
Edgeworth was the first person to welcome Raidou to Death City, and he gave him a place to work and make himself useful. Maybe this is why he's a kind of constant in Raidou's life now; there's a sort of comfort in Edgeworth always being present and capable of giving clear and trustworthy directions. I mean trustworthy in the sense that Raidou can always trust him to make fair and just decisions with no fear of any kind of corruption being involved.
So basically Raidou looks up to Edgeworth a lot; he's rational without being cold (at least by Raidou's standards), he's very knowledgeable and accomplished and still trying to learn more. That, and as much as Raidou likes his old boss, the truth is that Edgeworth is far more efficient with the way he leads the Agency.
Of course, the recent events have only strengthened his loyalty to his boss. While there is some guilt involved, that's not the only reason -- at this point, Edgeworth is a friend, and someone Raidou would risk his life for without hesitation.
He does wonder about the whole issue with the Edgeworths and von Karmas. He knows Franziska's father did something bad, and that Miles was adopted into the family sometime in his early life. He's just not sure whether to ask about it or not...
