He couldn't pick up Sephiroth's emotions as much he could before, but he could tell based on that expression that his partner was upset. He hummed softly as he lay on the bed and watched the rabbit crawl up and settle against his chest. He reached out and pet Sephiroth's head, stroking the soft ears and scratching the back of that soft neck.

He saw the equivalent of a shrug and sighed, wishing he had some answers and the ability to make Sephiroth feel better. "Don't worry. I'll protect you and still love you no matter what form you take."
