This meme is here to let prospective characters mingle ICly with the characters already in the game and each other. It helps us introduce various scenarios that you're likely to encounter in Soul Campaign and the different places used in the game. Hopefully, this helps you figure out if the game is really suited to your needs or not -- otherwise, just have fun!

The scenarios for this cycle are:
1. You've just come back from a mission and it's late. All you want to do is get back to your room. Unfortunately, the moon is beginning to drool again! Run home before you get gooped, or join the local kids in a game of Dodge the Drool!
2. You and your partner's mission was going well... at first. Now you're trapped in a warehouse with a massive kishin egg sniffing the both of you out. How will you get out of this situation with your lives?
3. There's a heat wave in Death City! Temperatures soar! Even though it's a dry heat, it's still unbearable. Challenge your friends to a popsicle-eating contest or try frying an egg on the sidewalk. Either way the sun's entertained.
4. You're late for class! But the Shibusen stairs await...
5. Fastest way to find a partner is to introduce yourself with bad pickup lines. Your time starts now!

Just choose any one randomly, or make up your own, we don't mind! To make things simpler, please follow this subject line:

Ah. [ She pauses, thoughtfully considering that. The idea hadn't come to mind. ] Unfortunately, that is also true.

Keeping an open mind, I believe, is of paramount importance when there is so much unknown. [ Even if some others might not be able to... Still, she's visibly enjoying this little conversation. ] I must agree with you, regarding the contrast between the number of similarities and differences.

Yes, and it works for trolls as well as humans. Especially blonde haired females and jade-blood trolls, perhaps?

[ ...congratulations, Aranea, have a light-up Kanaya. Now it's bright under the umbrella, though thankfully without the heat of the sun that the brightness shining down above has. ]

I am unable to refute that, thus I can only agree. [ A momentary hesitation. ] Would it be too meddlesome of me to inquire why such things came to mind?

Oh, no reason. I'm just a casual observer. There's not a whole lot to do in the furthest veil, you know.

[ Fan fiction writer. Don't ever tell her that. She's nervous already as it is, worried that there is disapproval regarding the relationship. Among other things. Panic panic, fret fret. ]

I see. [ A bit more hesitation. ] Then, you do not find it strange?

Huh? [She was used to the hesitation. Familiar with it, in fact. But she wasn't expecting that question.]

Why would I find it strange?

[lumigenitor]

[ An awkward little laugh. ] Ah, well, that...

I merely have concerns about how things are perceived by others. Given what is expected of a troll such as myself, I fear some may disapprove of... [ Typically, she'd be rambling, but she's at a loss now that she's gone and made herself the topic of conversation. She wants to finish with "the relationship I have happily found myself in", but she's concerned so instead: ] ...a cross-species relationship.

[ She folds her arms before bringing a hand up to settle against her face, a part of her wanting nothing more than to shrink away and hide away from this. ] I apologize, I did not mean to burden you with such things in this discussion.

[Though it had been a while since she had lost her ability to sense emotions, the confusion and worry coming from Kanaya was strong enough that Aranea was almost able to pretend that she felt her emotions. She had no idea that this is what her companion was worried about.]

I will certainly agree such a relationship is unique for our kind, but what of it? Something that is atypical does not mean the same thing as aberrant.

You are a woman that found a quadrant that can be shared with another woman. That is how I see it. Anybody who views it as anything otherwise is similar to the archaic view that only like-bloods should associate together. It's an artifact of stubbornness and intolerance. And anybody who holds those views should be regarded as the dumbasses they are.

[lumigenitor]

[ She listens closely, offering only a brief nod here and there of agreement, and she's feeling particularly reassured... ]

[ And then Aranea drops the dumbass comment and she can't help but laugh. Awkwardness, hesitation, and concern are all gone in the blink of an eye, and she has to take a second to stifle a lingering chuckle before responding. ]

I could not have hoped for a more reassuring and eloquently put response than that. [ A pleased smile. ] Thank you, truly.

[Aranea responded with a warm smile of her own. Insecurity defeated. A sense of support secured. She offered the younger troll a hand of reassurance on her shoulder.]

Be sure to tell that to Meenah sometime. In fact, I doubt she'd believe you even if you did.

[lumigenitor]

[ A little laugh. She welcomes to reassuring touch, impressed at how easily she'd handled that; and also amused by the added comment. ]

Assuming she would give me sufficient time to tell the tale, I may attempt to do so. After all, it's something I'm sure she'd enjoy for that ending.

Tell me something I don't know.

[lumigenitor]

[ A thoughtful pause, looks like she's actually going to tell Aranea something she doesn't know. ]

You could get Meenah to wear an elegant dress with relative ease.

[consider8]

[Yeah, where did that come from??]

...I could?

[lumigenitor]

[ Left field, like most good things. Meenah was the most recently mentioned troll so she went with it. ]

With the right incentive, most certainly. Perhaps she'd even allow her hair out of the braids.

[ Her fashion senses are tingling, and she'd love to see such a thing. If Meenah's hair was anything between Feferi's and the Condesce's it was sure to be incredible. It's a good thing the ramblings are staying in her head. ]

I certainly agree with the compensation, but...

I like her braids. [Who do you think makes them?]

[lumigenitor]

[ A blink, then a second blink. Oh right, Kanaya back to reality. She still doesn't know that Aranea is responsible for the braids though. ]

In that case, the braids stay.

I hadn't thought about it, but perhaps a day of taking her out for some new clothes would be a pretty good idea. She's been getting rather ornery since the populous has been not so disposed to our presence.

[lumigenitor]

I would imagine she could be at least momentarily distracted and relaxed with a change of pace, or at the very least it would take her mind off of things for a little break. [ A pause. ] And there would be opportunities for fashion suggestions.

[consider8]

[Aranea grinned, an eyebrow raised.]

...you had something in mind?

[lumigenitor]

Well, I would need to properly peruse the city's options before settling on any one set of suggestions, but there are most certainly some clothing styles that I suspect would catch her eye instantly. Her tendency to break away from the norm is worth noting.

[ All speculation, of course. They'd have to drag Meenah out to find out for sure. ]

Yet another of your aberrational uniqueness from your planet, then?

[ A nod. ] Undoubtedly, I believe it is.

I can't imagine how anyone would find that disagreeable.

The joys of everyone being so very different manifest in so many ways, after all.
