[Domestic is a nice way to put it, but Near is quite far from the usual stereotype: from the obsessively equal distanced orderly way he places every item on the tray to how carefully he measures every ingredient, as if preparing a complex and highly dangerous chemical reaction with volatile ingredients that cannot be measured with an error above 0.01g. The kitchen is always kept clean, no matter what he’s experimenting with; anyone looking at it at any given moment would have a very hard time believing something was being cooked or baked at that instant.
Of course, this doesn’t mean he doesn’t indulge in dipping his finger into the batter, dough and/or whatever sauce he’s making at the moment, and that is exactly what he does right now, bringing that finger to his mouth right after.]
