we can never have too much tl;dr in our lives

tl;dr relationship meme
♥ Post with your characters!
♥ Respond to other people's characters with your characters!
♥ They tell you in detail what their character thinks of your character, IC or OOC! Tl;dr is encouraged!
♥ Then you react if you want!
♥ Other people do the same thing to you! Save the tl;dr for CR charts so I can creep on them!
♥ PROFIT
♥ This was stolen from a thousand billion people (HI CNC) but here is an example of how it goes down!
Kanji Tatsumi

But in all honesty, Kanji's curious about the trolls as a whole. They seem a little obnoxious, but after teaming with Terezi against the zombies and bugs he figures maybe the trolls aren't so bad.
Now, once Kanji regained his sanity, he remembers bits and pieces of who it was he encountered, so he is (vaguely) aware that he chased down Karkat, the kid he sparred against and saw at the funeral.
Overall, Kanji's thought process and overall feels are: "Senpai was friends with this guy. I wanna see why."
Once life in Death City stops pissing on him, he'll probably start trying to figure things out.

Raidou stepping out to check on him, talk him down a bit meant more to Kanji than he openly expressed. Before he had friends he really only had one, maybe two people that gave a flying shit about him. In a weird way, despite throwing up walls and using his short temper to hide how he's feeling a lot of the time to people he's not pretty close with, he does feel a little relief when people see right through him and reach out anyway.
Admittedly, Kanji was absolutely ready to hate this guy, especially during their time in the Grand Canyon. He's still got a mighty disrespect and distrust of authority figures, so the MMM'd Raidou's words made it hard to decipher truth from manipulation at first. Thankfully, the encounter I described in my previous paragraph helped him see the truth. Currently, he is absolutely thankful for Souji helping him learn that, once in a while, it's good to stop and think before you act if you truly wish to change for the better.
Overall, Raidou's a pretty cool guy. Knowing the MMM effects are temporary is a huge relief for Kanji, but he's sorry he couldn't get through to him.

No, really. The minute a character from a fairy tale Kanji enjoyed as a kid tells him it's a-ok that he likes to sew, there is nothing that will sway this guy's opinion of her. He feels a tiny bit like a fanboy.
BREW's decision to bring her here in Death City does leave him curious. BREW brings fighters, medics, and support characters... why her? It's not to say Kanji feels Cinderella is useless - she isn't by a long shot - but he does worry about her safety because this kid is a freaking mother hen when he puts his mind to it. She was probably taken from a pretty good time in her life (or directly before life begins to change for the better for her), so he feels BREW's a dick for inflicting this war upon her.
...He is also finished making that doll for Cinderella, and hopes to make future exchanges or perhaps team up on crafting endeavors. If they manage to get Orihime in on this they will be unstoppable crafting wizards.

(So it goes without saying that Kanji has always been absolutely crazy about her from the start, even when he thought she was a he. She makes him nervous and he sometimes doesn't seem to know what to say to her, what the right thing is TO say. She's so damn smart and he's kind of a bum academically (yet he passed a high school entrance exam...hmmmm), but he doesn't feel he has absolutely no chance. He just needs to grow the balls to up and tell her how he feels. Whether it happens soon or much later is really anybody's guess.
Kanji cherishes his friendship with her. She's his closest friend, and he never thought he'd actually care so damn deeply about another person. When Souji left and Yosuke died, Kanji was angry, listless, restless. Despite wanting to be alone, wanting to punch a wall until there was no wall left to punch, he knew he wasn't the only one hurting. He chose, instead of what he thought he wanted, to get back on his feet and be strong for her, be there for her.
What he ended up truly wanting was to make sure his friend was better, that she knew she wasn't alone in this, and in doing so he started bouncing back from his own angry, listless restlessness.
Now, in a pure Current Death City Events sense, Kanji's noticed that Naoto's been patching him up a lot. He finds a comfort in it, but he's also embarrassed about it since she's... been doing it a lot lately.
...And good god was she a sight for sore eyes in the Grand Canyon.)

(Don't worry. Next time, Kanji can patch Naoto up >3)

(Hahaha. HE HAS TO WORRY NOW. Well, considering Megumi may be teaching Kanji to suture soon... hoo boy.)

(He'll be good at it... but Kanji, can you suture Naoto up in an emergency?)

(H-HE'LL TRY, DAMMIT!)

[Pardon while she looks away, face darkening]
(YOU CAN DO IT KANJI!)

[In a... in a what?! Oh god, she noticed. His ears are red at first, and he was looking at a wall to his right.]
I-I, w-well... uhm...
[The red spreads to the face. His hands feel clammy resting on his hips. He just needs a moment. He's never done this before.]
...
[He muttered something there.]

[She glances in his direction, her cheeks dusted light pink]

Y-...YEAH! I DO!
[Surely he didn't need to bellow that, but well what can you do.]
I-I just never found the r-right time to... t-to...!

(Oh youuuu. Kanji wasn't sure what to think of him at first, but every time they meet he feels he leaves with a lot more to think about. The fact that he's a prince surprises him - all he knew of princes were nicknames toward friends and any sons the past and current Emperors in Japan may have had. For a split second, he wondered if he should even be hanging around with the guy because he's practically the complete opposite of royalty, just some kid who will probably run a textile shop someday.
...But that moment was gone as quickly as it had come, because he knows he shouldn't really make that sort of judgment call without finding out more. He came by his room that day and wasn't critical, but impressed with his paintings, liked what he'd done with his apartment. Though he isn't fond of the physical affection (you REALLY remind him of Teddie sometimes) or the spilled tea, he feels that he's getting to know Ling more and more.
And Kanji will probably never, ever admit this, but he finds Ling... kinda cute. He's upbeat and teasing, something you don't see in someone meant to be an emperor someday, but then he has his moments of seriousness... he has a mysterious air about him, and he digs intriguing, mysterious people.
Kanji is quite fond of the friendship he's made with Ling, and hopes they get together for general goofing off, training, or just about anything now that Death City has settled down for the most part.)

(Oh Miss Takani, where do I start. You irritated Kanji SO MUCH when you guys first met, and that turned into all the tsun-tsun bickering worry when they ran into each other battling zombies and Witch familiars. He felt that he had to prove that BREW brought some fighters with more than enough firepower to protect those that could not protect themselves during their encounter, and he hopes he at last proved that.
...But man oh man did a lot happen in that cave while they were stuck, between what was played out and what was discussed! The bickering, the insistence that she keep warm with his coat, and the eventual silly time-waster games where Megumi cheats every single damn time (DON'T DENY IT, FOX LADY)... he still finds her very much a priss, but when he considers what time frame she's from, he backs down and does what he can. Despite all that, he finds her to be a very strong-willed woman... but when she brings up her arms and screams like she did, he wonders what the hell happened.
But he... isn't sure if he should ask.
Overall, Kanji thinks she's pretty cool, and it's pretty weird that it took a zombie invasion and three days of imprisonment in a dark cave to make both of them overlook each other's differences just a little.
He's also okay with you keeping the coat as long as he gets his sewing kit back.)

Kanji really isn't sure WHAT to make of Lili! They always spar when they meet, but she's very formidable, nothing to scoff at, and he respects her strength. During morning training, he's more than happy to take her on and come away learning something new about the his defenses that she always seems to easily go through.
Yet despite all that, she intimidates him partly because he just can't seem to figure her out. What's her deal? He aims to ignore his intimidation, however, be a damn man and get to know her regardless.
He may or may not be putting something together for her, because when in doubt, craft.
